The U.S. House of Representatives passes a $1.2 trillion appropriation bill to avoid a partial government shutdown

On March 22, local time, according to the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), the U.S. House of Representatives passed a government funding bill worth approximately US$1.2 trillion with a vote of 286 in favor and 134 against. Three-quarters of government departments provide funding until the end of the current financial year. The bill now goes to the Senate.

It is reported that if the bill is not passed by the Senate, the US government will be forced into a partial "shutdown" on the morning of the 23rd. U.S. President Joe Biden called on Congress to quickly pass the bill and said he would sign it as soon as possible.
