Alphabet, Google's parent company, opened up 5.8% on reports that Apple is in talks with Google to allow Gemini to provide artificial intelligence support for the iPhone. Apple opened up 1.6%. Tesla opened 3.5% higher after the company announced over the weekend that all Model Y models will increase in price by $1,000 on April 1.

Nvidia's GTC 2024 conference will open within the next few days, and the stock price opened up 3.4%.

Among popular Chinese concept stocks, Xpeng Motors rose nearly 7%, NIO rose about 4%, Pinduoduo rose 3.8%, and Bilibili rose 1.6%.
